Christmas time...

I'm always sad every year when Christmas is over. It is so crazy how much planning and preparation go into making sure it is a special day for everyone, and of course I wouldn't have it any other way! Last year Charlee was only three weeks old on Christmas so opening her gifts was a little different. As hard as it is to see how fast she is growing it is so much fun to watch her grow. I think she is at such a fun age right now. She gives hugs and kisses and gets so excited.

We had family over to our house. My little sister and her boyfriend came in town and Jason's family all came over. We went to church on Christmas Eve and then had pizza, a cheese plate, and a hot chocolate bar. We have done pizza the past few years and it's perfect it's easy and requires no cooking or cleaning! Jason's family tradition is to open all of the gifts on Christmas Eve and then Santa gifts Christmas morning. My family has the pajama tradition. Since we were babies my parents gave us matching Jammie's on Christmas Eve. That tradition is still going strong and I loved picking out Charlees Jammie's. After Charlee went to bed we played the game of things, which is like cards against humanity, but you write in your own answers and with our crew it's always interesting!

I couldn't wait for Charlee to wake up Christmas morning to see her sweet face. She was excited to see her toys but was more excited that we had several dogs here for Christmas! Santa got her a little piggy to ride, a tea set, and Snow White and the seven dwarfs little people. Do you remember those my sister and I were talking about that, we had a bus and a Ferris wheel for our little people. Those and the B fun keys were definitely her favorites. Her daddy let her take her keys to bed Christmas Eve and I couldn't figure out what I was hearing on her monitor in the morning.... She was definitely spoiled by everyone this Christmas and she loved every minute of it so much so that napping was a no go!

We decided to do a Southern Christmas dinner this year, we made wings and dips for appetizer, then we had fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, Mac n cheese, sweet potato rolls, peach cobbler, and banana pudding. Everything was soooo good. My sis did a great job in the kitchen!

We had such a fun Christmas, watching Charlees reactions to everything was amazing!
