Last week was a little crazy, Jason had a work conference Tuesday through Friday, so I was determined to finish organizing. So I drank wine and organized ever night after Charlee went to bed!
I used a ton of plastic tubs for under the sink, my shoes, and in the linen closet. We don't have a lot of storage so cleaning out and making things more accessible was a must. Plus I feel like if everything has a place I will put it back there. I got most of my tubs at target. I went to the dollar store first, but target actually had them for .94 and they seemed a little more sturdy. I also went to homegoods for the fabric storage containers I used in the linen closet. And of course I labeled everything, it really is useful and it looks clean, you can buy an inexpensive label maker at walmart or target.
There is still a lot crammed in this space but I feel like it looks a little more organized and I'm not so stressed when I open the doors.
As I was cleaning and organizing under my sink I realized I needed somewhere for my jewelry. I used this frame that I had from Charlee's birthday party, at her party I used it to hang her monthly pictures so it already had the wire. I just added burlap to the back, I would still like to add something that I could stick my studs into, but overall it turned out cute and it's functional.
So I love finding new beers to try and this one was a win. One of my friends introduced me to Abita last summer, they have a seasonal strawberry flavor that is my favorite, I saw this one the other day and it's pretty yummy if you like grapefruit like I do!
And of course I had this little beauty helping me all week...
And keeping me on my toes!

Her first sloppy joe was a hit.
She was so excited that the weather was nice and we were able to get outside and run around.
Since Jason was so busy last week we had a very low key weekend, the weather was yucky Saturday so we stayed in all day we only got out for a trip to costco. Sunday we did a lot of the same, stayed in and relaxed. Of course we watched the Super Bowl, Charlee was in her festive outfit....can you believe how little she was last years Super Bowl! Ahhhh love this girl.
The halftime show was her favorites, she brought her babies along to watch.
We had yummy turkey chili for dinner. This is such an easy recipe. It makes a ton and freezes great.
1.5 lbs turkey meat
3 cans bushes chili beans
2 large cans diced tomatoes
1 can rotel
1 package HEB chili mix
A few pickled jalapeƱos (optional)
Brown the turkey meat and then throw it all in the crock pot and cook on high for 3 hours or low for 5-6. Top with cheese and enjoy.
We also had cornbread, which I cheated and used a box mix, but I think the key to making cornbread even better is adding about a third of a cup of butter into the cooking dish melt in the oven and then pour that into the mix and pour it all back into the dish and bake. You can't go wrong with butter!
Have a great week and Happy Monday!!!
