Memorial Weekend in Dallas

We had so much fun this past weekend we have not been to Dallas to see my family in a few months so it was great to see everyone. We also spent some time with my best friend, her little boy and Charlee are three months apart so they are always so much fun together. The weekend consisted of eating lots of yummy foods and drinking way to many margaritas. A win in my book. All was good until we got stuck in Waco for an hour riding out this crazy weather. I don't think I've ever been more happy to be home safe. My prayers go out to everyone who is dealing with the flood.

Hump Day...

We are starting to get a little stir crazy around here. I know we need the rain but we also need to get outside!!! Charlee is my wild child for sure and she has been a little tornado lately. It rained on and off all weekend. We tried to get out some, but couldn't do too much outside. I was so happy to get her little tent finished so she could play while it rained. I still want to stain the wood, but it's done for the most part. I followed this tutorial I found on Pinterest, and it was super easy. I went to Home Depot got the supplies and had them cut the wood and we were good to go! I plan to use this outside this summer for shade. The whole project was under $25 so that's a win. Sorry for the lighting, but I'm sure this tent will pop up all summer in pictures.

She is just the cutest little thing and her personality cracks me up. We were just happy to be outside.

Saturday night I had a girls night and it was so wonderful. It was seriously the girliest girls night and I loved it, we did makeup and nails, ate all night and of course had lots of drinks!!! I'm so lucky to have this sweet group of girls to hang out with.

Ummm mom can you hold this so I can play?!?

And after running errands all morning yesterday Charlee was loving some popcorn, she then decided to dance and insisted on keeping the popcorn.... Needless to say it ended with a vacuum involved.

"Itsss OK Itsss OK" says Charlee

And to end our exciting day Charlee decided to free her buddies from her crib, however she couldn't figure out how to get down...lol

We are getting ready to head to Dallas for Memorial weekend. I'm excited to see my family and friends. Ready for festive outfits and lots of food and drinks. Hope you're having a great week.

Our Mother's Day Weekend

We had a great Mother's Day weekend! Mother's Day is such a blessing to me I prayed for my baby girl for what felt like forever so I'm just so thankful to be her mommy and truly that is the best gift in the world. Jason started the weekend out so sweet by bringing me flowers. Saturday we had Jason's family over to celebrate with them. Then Sunday we went to brunch and had lots of yummy margaritas, then home for naps and then back out for a few beers while Charlee played. That's a perfect day to me!!

Yes this is still our little elf on the shelf Jovie (as you know I'm obsessed with Elf) Charlee loves her so she didn't get put up with our Christmas stuff!

Last night... yes Monday night ;) we went to a concert. It was Leon Bridges and Lord Huron, we don't get to concerts as much as we used to so it was such a blast. And they were both sooooo good!

Cinco De Mayo

We had a very low key Cinco De Mayo here. We stay in most week nights because by the time Jason gets home from work it's usually to late to get her out without it being a mess! Her cute festive little 3-6 months "shirt" was last years Cinco De Mayo dress. It fit perfect with some cute little jean bloomers. I made a little decoration from tissue paper which I ended up running outside to save once the rainstorm hit. I had it all planned for an outside dinner but the weather had a different idea. Poor Jason was running in and out putting the fajita meat on the grill because what else was I supposed to do we had to have a festive dinner. I did try a Pinterest recipe for churro cookies and they turned out sooooo good and the were really easy to make. We topped it off all with mango margaritas. Oh how things have changed in the past few years, but honestly I wouldn't have it any other way!

Hope you had a fun Cinco De Mayo!
