DIY Growth Chart

I've seen similar growth charts all over Pinterest and Pottery Barn Kids so I decided to make it a DIY project and it turned out pretty good if I do say so myself...lol! The hardest part for me was measuring out and drawing the lines on the ruler. I bought the wood from Home Depot. I had them cut it down to six feet, but you could do any lenght.

Then I stained the wood. (I made one for my best friends little boy for his first birthday)!

I used a tape measure and a paint pen for the lines. Then I used a stencil, paint, and a sponge brush to add the numbers.

Once it was dry I hung it in her playroom. I ended up just putting a screw in the top and bottom so I knew it was secure and safe. Now I just need to start marking!!! At first I was going to mark in pink and then do a different color for any future babies, but it's so "clean" I thought different bright colors may be to much, so now I'm thinking a gold paint pen may look good?!? Still deciding on this. Excuse the picture the lighting in her playroom stinks.....which is why I'm trying to convenience my husband we need a new light fixture!!!

And to end our Friday on a sweet note a few pictures of my munchkin.
